1951

Fuji Kogyo Ltd. was established for design and manufacture of machineries in Asahi-machi, Hiroshima-shi, Hiroshima pref.

1952

Fuji Kogyo Ltd. was reorganized and renamed to FUJI KIKAI KOGYO CO., LTD.

1954

Received an order for cigarette manufacturing machines from Japan Monopoly Corporation (currently, Japan Tabaco Inc.).

1959

Moved its head office to the current location at Fuchu-cho, Aki-gun, Hiroshima pref.

1963

Tied-up with US based Brunswick Corporation to manufacture the automatic pinsetter of bowling.

1969

Tied-up with Dainippon Ink & Chemical Incorporated and succeeded to manufacture a prototype of DFP metal rotary printing press machines.

1970

Built a new plant in Hachihonmatsu-cho, Higashihiroshima-shi, Hiroshima pref.

1973

Made a technology transfer contract with West Germany based company Mailander to begin the development of metal offset printing machines.

1976

Started manufacturing automobile equipment (body welding and assembling).

1978

Completed the first rotogravure printing machine.

1981

Completed the first curved surface printing machine attached with unique color head.

1985

Started the sales of new model of metal printing machines (PRIMEX series).

1987

Completed the first computerized rotary press machine for business documents.

1994

Moved the Tokyo branch to Shiratori, Katsushika-ku, Tokyo. The Tokyo branch was to specialize in sales and maintenance workshop.

1995

Started manufacturing boring machines with small diameter pipe jacking technique, ROCK MAN series.
Announced and began the sales of new model of printing machines for business documents, FNS series.

1997

Received a subsidy for the development of new technology from MITI to develop water based industrial paints.
Succeeded in the commercialization of extrusion lamination machine.

1999

Integrated the head office’s functions to improve business efficiency at Hachihonmatsu plant in Higashihiroshima-shi, Hiroshima pref.

2001

Celebrated the 50th anniversary.
Received subsidy from New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) to develop solvent-free paint system.

2002

Started manufacturing sectional drive system multi-drive type rotogravure printing machines.

2006

Started the operation of Hachihonmatsu second plant as the main plant for metal printing machine production.

2007

Received NEDO subsidy for the development of high-precision film coating system.

2010

Set up THAI FUJIKIKAI CO., LTD. in Thailand.

2015

Selected as “Excellent SMEs and Micro Enterprises Selection 300” from METI.

2016

MCD Coating Device has received the contrive Service Prize of 41th Invention Grand Prize, which cosponsored by Japan Society for the Advancement of Inventions and Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun Ltd.

2017

New headquarter office built

2018

Selected as “Local future pioneer company” by Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry.
Received a special award at the 7th Japan Manufacturing Grand Award.

2019

Built a distribution warehouse.
Started to use Fuchu plant as R&D center.
